Latest Releases in 2023
Our latest product releases are a testament to our commitment to providing state-of-the-art solutions to the power systems community. This year saw the culmination of extensive research, development, and collaboration, resulting in cutting-edge tools that redefine the possibilities of simulation technology.
NovaCor 2.0
NEW Hardware Generation
We released a new version of our simulator hardware: NovaCor 2.0. Powered by the IBM™ POWER9® processor, it offers scalable core licensing and expanded capabilities — 20% more Component Load Units and 25% more Nodes. A standout feature is the large non-real-time simulation mode, supporting networks ten times larger than in real time.
RSCAD FX 2.0
NEW Software Capabilities
This year, we unleashed a game-changing update for our software – introducing RSCAD FX 2.0! Packed with new features, this release is set to revolutionize your real-time power system simulation experience. Check out our demo video to see these enhancements in action and get ready to elevate your interaction with the RTDS Simulator.
GTSOC V2
NEW Black Box Control Integration Platform
The GTSOC V2 combines the capabilities of the GTSOC V1 and what was previously the GTFPGA Unit. The GTSOC V2 is capable of black box control simulation, Sampled Values streaming, MMC simulation, and more. GTSOC technology is revolutionizing real-time simulation: learn more in our free webinar.

Technology Adoption in 2023
RTDS Technologies takes pride in celebrating a year marked by unprecedented success in sales and market expansion. We saw excellent adoption of our NovaCor 2.0 hardware from both new and existing users. Since its release in July 2023, we have sold over 130 NovaCor 2.0 chassis. Thank you!
Powerful Hardware Configurations
A glimpse into our sales data shows that the average NovaCor 2.0 chassis sold this year included 3 licensed cores. Our users are adopting powerful hardware configurations that allow for both power systems and power electronics simulation and device testing. Our core licensing architecture allows customers to flexibly expand the capabilities of their hardware to match their simulation requirements.
57 Countries Worldwide
Our influence has also extended globally, as we welcomed 29 new institutions to the RTDS Simulator family in 2023. This influx of new partnerships officially marks the presence of the RTDS Simulator in 57 countries worldwide. This significant growth underscores our commitment to driving innovation and advancing real-time power system simulation on a global scale.
