Webinar description

Automation opens up a world of possibility in the real-time power system simulation environment, enabling convenient batch hardware-in-the-loop testing, advanced data analysis, and more. This webinar will focus on the new Python scripting API that has been recently added to the RTDS Simulator’s RSCAD FX software.

This Python scripting implementation is a replacement for our C-based legacy scripting. It its simplest form, scripting allows users to automate the running of simulation cases and the collection of simulation results. More complicated applications would include analysis of simulation results, adaptive testing and report generation. The addition of the Python API opens up new possibilities for users to leverage the abilities of third-party Python packages and incorporate them into their simulation work. Packages like Matplotlib, NumPy, SciPy and TensorFlow offer interesting possibilities for displaying and using simulation data.

This webinar is targeted at novice users and will demonstrate how to get started with recording and modifying Python scripts in RSCAD. Some newer capabilities of Python scripting relative to legacy scripting will be highlighted and a few examples will be shown.
