RTDS Technologies is excited to announce a new video featuring power hardware in the loop (PHIL) simulation using the RTDS Simulator. This exciting application involves the real time simulation environment exchanging power with physical power hardware in a closed loop. In the video, we show the development of an interface between the RTDS Simulator and an inverter connected to a solar photovoltaic panel. The video reviews the critical technical considerations involved with developing a closed loop interface between a real time simulator and physical power hardware, and shows simulation results from the RSCAD software interface.
