RTDS Technologies has joined forces with ERIGrid project partners ICCS-NTUA and HEDNO to organize the ERIGrid Summer School on Advanced Operations and Control of Active Distribution Networks. The school takes place at NTU Athens, June 10 – 14, 2019.

Microgrids contain their own distributed energy sources, energy storage, loads, distribution wires, and control systems. As microgrids become an increasingly relevant aspect of the modern power system, RTDS Technologies continues to develop additional models and features for the RTDS Simulator which are specifically targeted at simulating microgrids and testing their control systems.

The increasing relevance of microgrids and the distributed energy resources that comprise them has generated a demand for detailed study tools and sophisticated hardware-in-the-loop test facilities to evaluate the operation of the associated control and power devices on the grid.
