RTDS Introductory Training Course
Who Should Attend
This is an introductory course intended for those who have little or no experience with the RTDS hardware and software.
Topics of Discussion
Overview of the principals of operation of the RTDS and an introduction to the electromagnetic transients algorithms used the RTDS simulator.
Introduction to the RSCAD software.
Participants build and run a number of power system simulation cases showing the capabilities and limitations of the RTDS hardware and software.
Interfacing an external protective relay to the RTDS for use in closed loop testing.
Use the CBuilder function to build and run user defined component models.
Use scripts to automate the process of running simulation cases.

Cost
$1000 CAD, plus applicable taxes. Student rate is $250.00, plus taxes. Fees are payable by cheque or bank transfer only.
